    Atom LT Hooded Insulated Jacket

Who needs a multi-tool when you've got the ultra-versatile Arc'teryx Men's Atom LT Hooded Insulated Jacket working just the same? Metaphors aside, you might want to actually bring along a multi-tool (just in case), but for breathable insulation on any and all alpine adventures, you've got the jacket equivalent with this high-performing insulator.

Ski touring, winter hiking, frigid ice climbing routes—the Atom LT can handle it all with a durable and lightweight Tyono fabric exterior, while the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment fends off light rain and snowfall to keep you dry when overcast weather decides to throw a little moisture your way. To bolster its adaptability, the Atom LT is equipped with gusseted underarms and Polartec Power Stretch side panels to ensure an unimpeded range of motion whether you're wearing it as a midlayer or an external shell. Perhaps most importantly, though, is the Atom LT's synthetic Coreloft insulation. This breathable synthetic insulation not only retains warmth in wet weather, but also offers maximum thermal efficiency without compromising the compressibility of the fibers. A StormHood offers added coverage when your beanie isn't enough, and the adjustable hem provides a personalized, snug fit to keep the cold out.

    • An ultra-versatile insulator for all of your cold-weather pursuits
    • Coreloft insulation provides breathable warmth for morning touring
    • Durable shell has DWR treatment to shed alpine precipitation mixes
    • Stretchy side panels help you move on chilly weather climbs
    • Fixed hood slides easily over your beanie on windy summits
    • Adjustable hem seals in the warmth and shuts out the cold
    • Hand pockets give you quick access to energy bars
    • Item #ARC00UV

    Gearhead pick for good reason

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

This jacket is awesome! I love the fit of all arcteryx jackets, I am pretty slim and the cut has always been great on their stuff. This jacket is warm, compressible, and is definitely one of my go to jackets for everyday outings to technical endeavors.

    GO TO

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

One of my better outdoor gear purchases. Hood adds a lot of warm. Don't worry if I forgot my hat. Very lightweight and compressible,
I think over 45 degrees maybe too warm with exercise/moving.
I don't use any layering underneath, just a light synthetic shirt.
I am about 170 lbs and the large fits perfectly. medium would be too tight.

    Nice Jacket

So far so good. I picked up the Atom LT a little bit leary, as I live in Northern Michigan and we have snow and cold weather about 4-6 months each year.

I need to layer a little under it, should be fine with a long sleeve shirt in spring/fall type weather, and I was perfectly warm with a hoodie underneath in below freezing temps.

Its a good looking jacket with a nice fit.

    Stylin!

Amazing jacket for all around fun. Use it for skiing under a shell and it is very warm but vents well. As an outer layer very versatile. Sharp looking too. My wife saw mine and ended up getting one:)

    Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!

I loooove love love this jacket!! It is the perfect jacket for added warm under a shell for a hike or skiing. Or wear it alone. It is a must!!!

    Great mild temperature jacket

    • Size Bought: Medium

This is just the jacket I was looking for. The jacket is good for standing around in 50 degree F weather with a light breeze or actively biking when it's 35 degrees out. If you add a base layer and vest underneath, you can take the temperature down to around 20 - 25 F and be comfortable on a bike.

    On my 3rd Atom LT

When the Atom first came out years ago I bought one, and I've been picking up a new one every couple years since. My oldest jacket is still getting used for dog walks. The Atom is great in all conditions (except maybe pouring rain). I've been wearing it under my shell while skiing, fall hikes, PACNW beach trips. You name it, this jacket delivers.

    Basically the perfect jacket

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I love this. The conifer color is deep and perfect. The light insulation allows for easy layering, although I don't know of he will need that, as it's pretty warm on its own! But dang, does this jacket look good on him.

    ATOMS ARE THE BEST!!!!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 140lbs

Literally, love this jacket. well insulated for the trail but breathable so you don't overheat and packable enough that when it goes in your pack you don't have to think twice about if you need to bring it.

    Best Jacket

Bought this for my husband as a birthday gift. I have one and just love it so thought it would be a great gift. The material, the sleeves, everything about this jacket is a perfect fit!

    Confortable warm jacket!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Height: 5'3"
    • Weight: 125lbs

I gave this jacket to my husband as a gift and he absolutely loves it! It is his favorite jacket....and he has a lot of them. I did size up and glad I did. One feature he really likes is that you can zip it up all the way and there is plenty of room so you don't feel like you're being choked. The only down side is that the hood is made to be able to wear a helmet and he will never use it for that. When he puts on the hood any breeze will blow it off. There's no way to cinch it down. But that is a minor issue and I'm still giving it 5 stars!

    I'd Buy it 100 Times

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 170lbs

By far the most expensive "hoodie" I've ever bought and taking it out of the packaging I must admit, I thought I may have been duped. Trying it on I found a perfectly fitting, highly mobile, well designed piece. There are over 150 5 star ratings so I don't feel like I can add much more literature around how amazing this thing really is. I almost never take it off! My wife keeps it frigid around the house, I wear it there. I sit by a drafty window in my office, I wear it there. Running errands around town in Salt Lake winter, I wear it. As a midlayer on the coldest snowboarding days, I wear it. This thing is worth every penny, I'm buying a backup and getting my wife one. I am 6', 170lbs, with a 34" inseam (long arms). Typically sleeves are to short for medium tops and large swallows me but the fit on this is like it's tailored. I'm wearing the medium. They should call this hoody the Arc-Teryx gateway drug because now I want just about everything in their lineup.

    Love at second sight

I've been looking at this since October because this looks sleek! When I got it I started having doubts because I'm used to having an insulated jacket with a quilted design. So this was a change. Its very warm. Throwing the jacket on brings instant warmth. And it looks freaking sexy. This is a cut, good-looking jacket that can be worn in any situation. School, sleeping, climbing, running. The best is going to an event where everyone is wearing shirts and ties and suits, because throwing this jacket over a collared shirt and tie with dress slacks is such a good look. (nice flex) And, youre warm.
Arcteryx nailed it with this one.

    Warm lightweight jacket!

    • Size Bought: Large

Both stylish and comfortable. The insulation is incredibly warm for how lightweight the jacket is. It fits true to size and is sleek enough to wear to work. Highly recommend!

    Versatile Winter Mid-Layer

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 165lbs

Everyone (almost) in the backcountry office has this so naturally it caught my attention. I bought this to wear for the short 2 minute walks I have between car and store or car and work without having to delayer once I got inside. I also use this for a heavier midlayer when ski touring. I got it a week ago and I have it worn everyday since. No one seems to mind!

Nice Jacket but Not worth the Price

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 160lbs

Nice looking jacket but def overpriced for what it is. Also the fit is a little different as they intended this jacket to be worn as a mid layer so the front of the jacket is pretty short. 5'9 about 160 and i wear a medium in most things but i had to exchange the jacket for a large as i wanted to wear it more as an outer layer. If you want more of a street wear look def size up.

Can this jacket work for temperatures 0-20 degrees under a shell?

Hey Ben! It really depends on what you're doing and what else you have on. The name of the game is layering and I'd recommend having a merino or some other form of baselayer on at those temperatures. The more you plan on moving around the less you need in terms of layers but if you stop moving, then you lose lots of heat production and such. This jacket is certainly a great start for adventures below freezing, but depending on what you're doing, you'll want more. If you have any other questions or want more clarification, feel free to reach out!
